Having both worked for the largest auction houses in the industry for many years, together Matt and Amanda spotting a gap in the market for a tech-driven remarketing solution and G3 was born.  Initially launching as an online-only auction, the business grew quickly alongside the needs of the vendors and developed a new physical auction to simultaneously offer vehicles online and in the hall.
G3 Remarketing has since become one of the most innovative and dynamic electronic vehicle auction companies in the UK established to dispose of vehicles direct from fleet companies, finance houses and dealerships.
The physical auctions have become one of the highest attended in the region, building a loyal customer base as a result of enticing the biggest vendors in the UK to choose G3 as their remarketing partner.
With over sixty years experience within the automotive industry and a growing database of 15,000 buyers we source the best vehicles from the best suppliers. Although physical auctions will remain an integral part of the motor trade, when we started G3 advances in technology and user acceptance presented a greater opportunity to dispose and purchase vehicles via online auctions, 10 years on we're as keen as we ever have been to use our technology to provide cost-effective remarketing solutions for buyers and sellers alike.

Established in 2009, G3 has driven through the decade mark and continues to thrive! Take a look back over the key milestones so far in our relatively short history…

  1. G3 Remarketing is established

     

    Joint Directors Matt Dale and Amanda Holtby launch G3 as a truly independent, purely digital remarketing business.

    The need for a fair, local and independent online auction led the the inception of G3 and has continued to grow since then.

  2. asset management platform launched

     

    RMS (now E-Recovery), our bespoke software solution was built, to help finance vendors manage their vehicle collection and disposal panel, as a true end-to-end process.

    .

    Led by our relationship with PSA Finance, this branch of the business helped G3 expand into the finance houses of the automotive industry and specialise in recovering and remarketing their assets

  3. Key Vendor Wins

     

    Vauxhall UK dedicated sale launched with live auctioneer.  Quickly followed by Euro Car Parts, Sanctuary Group and Specialist Motor Finance to join our G3 Auctions.

    This allows G3 to provide a wider range of cars with more choice for buyers than ever before.

     

    G3 pledges long term support to The Prince of Wales Charity

    G3 remarketing has pledged to donate £1 per vehicle sold through their auction to the Prince of Wales Hospice charity – resulting in a £30,000 donation!

  4. G3 Moves to Leeds

     

    A more modern remarketing facility in Leeds is acquired, ideally located off the M62 at junction 30.

    This provides room to store over 700 vehicles and is purpose built to have a larger auction area for more people and vehicles.

  5. G3 begins physical auctions

     

    After acquiring the Leeds premises, G3 is able to expand into physical auctions as well as maintaining the online auctions

    This means more buyers are coming to the auctions and purchasing an increasing range of vehicles

    .

    AvailableCar Join the Roster

     

    Car supermarket giants AvailableCar added to the vendor list, with 8000+ part exchange vehicles disposed every year

    G3 gains FCA approved status

    We received full FCA authorisation for the debt administration and debt collection extending its client recover facilities

  6. Motability Operations joins the G3 team

    .

    G3 works with the Motability Operations network to provide more vehicles going to auction and creating a new Monday Elite Sale

  7. First Response Finance Win

    .

    G3 competed in a 12 month champions challenge to beat incumbent national competitor to win a solus long-term contract
